Mind – Psychology Spirit – Buddhism Resolution - Skills
Conflict resolution is not just a skill; it is a state of mind. We combine the best from conflict resolution, buddhism and psychology to offer a more holistic approach to helping you manage inner turmoil and improve your reaction to conflict.
Often as a practitioner or professional, we are very adept at managing conflict at work, with our colleagues or our clients. Often, its not easy to practice what we preach at home, and we struggle just as much as our clients. Improving ourselves is a life long journey, it needs a holistic approach, we need conflict resolution skills, we need to understand psychological theories and techniques and more importantly, we need to change our way of life. Mediator Style Training has created this retreat to offer a more holistic approach to conflict resolution by applying the best from buddhism, psychology and mediation.
This workshop is designed for professionals that are looking for a way to integrate a holiday with professional and personal development and network with like minded colleagues. The facilitators backgrounds are in Buddhism, Psychology, Mediation and Hypnotherapy and we aim to fuse these approaches to deliver a unique self development opportunity. On day 4 we also lead an optional discussion about introducing buddhism to practice and ethical considerations for those practitioners interested in introducing material into their work. The True Purpose of Conflict
A Buddhist Model of Conflict Resolution
We know conflict can exist as a state of opposition between persons or ideas or interests. But what about the internal kind of conflict that we experience almost every day within ourselves? Buddhism explains the true purpose of conflict, and how to deal with it effectively to get better outcomes and make you the happiest you can be. - Jorg Thonnissen
"The aim of the retreat is to find the true purpose of conflict in our lives, to discover the repeating patterns and resolve them. Ultimately this is a journey of self discovery, its the conflict in our life, the distinction that shapes our existence, who we are and who we can become"
" I stayed at 8 retreats before I found 'the one' , nestled in the Jungle of Khao Sok National Park, 3hrs from Phuket airport are these wonderful bungalows set down a hill that leads to a river and a limestone wall cliff. The scenery is breath-taking, photos do not do it justice. I was looking for a venue that inspired an 'aha' moment, something that will help initiate a parallel shift in personal and professional development"

"If you understand Buddhist philosophy, you understand the law of cause and effect, that we are all interconnected and you are enlightened to take charge of your life and approach conflict resolution more mindfully. Buddhism provides a higher order look at conflict, to help you understand the reason for conflict and impart a genuine motivation to not just resolve conflict but to become the resolution"
